Most disturbing is when one thinks that many of these vaccines, in fact millions of these vaccines, are being recalled almost weekly because of poor production. So not only are these sharks being slaughtered at an alarming rate, but they are being harvested for a largely ineffective product that needs to be regularly be trashed because of potency issues (see here and here).

(NaturalNews) You’ve heard it before, how the pharmaceutical industry has a giant “revolving door” through which corporations and government agencies frequently exchange key employees. That reality was driven home in a huge way today when news broke that Dr. Julie Gerberding, who headed the CDC from 2002 through 2009, landed a top job with Merck, one of the largest drug companies in the world. Her job there? She’s the new president of the vaccine division.

How convenient. That means the former head of the CDC was very likely cultivating a relationship with Merck all these years, and now comes the big payoff: Heading up a $5 billion division that sells cervical cancer vaccines (like Gardasil), chickenpoxvaccines and of course H1N1 swine flu vaccines, too.

So what’s the problem with all this? The problem is that private industry and government health offices such as the CDC or FDA should never be so cozy. When they are, it creates an environment of collusion between Big Government and Big Pharma. We’ve already seen this with the government-led push for swine flu vaccines that are manufactured (and sold) by drug companies like Merck.

In a recently released report:

According to these researchers (which include scientists from Harvard, the UK Medical Research Council and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) H1N1 swine flu won’t be as severe as was feared and when the fall and winter wave of H1N1 swine flu is over, it will have been no more severe than an average flu season.

In fact, according to one of the researchers – Dr. Lipsitch “The good news is that … the severity of the H1N1 flu may be less than initially feared.”

Let’s not forget that the White House predicted as many as 90,000 dead and such dire predictions set the stage for the rolling back of all sorts of civil liberties along with the spending of billions of dollars of taxpayer money that went directly into the pockets of drug companies that were absolved of any risk from adverse reactions from the vaccines they manufactured.

We are just getting the first reports of those adverse reactions. Of course there have been the multiple reports on the internet of anaphalactic reactions and neurological disorders immediately following vaccination but now we have more “authoritative” reports from the CDC and the Vaccine Adverse Events Reportiong System (VAERS).

Hawaii H1N1 Resolution Advances Vaccination Exemptions Favoring Americans’ Growing Demand for Health Freedoms:

Hilo, HI–Department of Health officials in Hawaii were overruled by County of Hawaii directors supporting a resolution favoring First Amendment constitutional rights and vaccination exemptions for everyone demanding them.

The nearly unanimous 7-1 Big Island of Hawaii Council vote sent a strong message to State and Federal policy makers to consider a majority of people who solidly distrust risky vaccines in general, and health officials’ claims of safety regarding H1N1 vaccines in particular.

The vote demonstrated the power of local community activists to rebuke “top down” policies advancing “mandatory” vaccinations during declared emergencies. The Council’s decision backed the majority of people unwilling to lose health freedoms to Federal governors directing State health officials on behalf of BigPharma special interests.

The Resolution (237-09) urges State and Federal legislators in Hawaii “to amend vaccine laws to include medical, religious, and philosophical exemptions from any vaccine program,” including those declared urgent by health officials.

Proponents declared this a victory for health freedom–a warning to health officials seeking mandatory vaccination authorizations under Federal “national emergency” codes that expand State health official powers under the Model State Emergency Health Powers Act.

The vote reflects a nationwide trend of increasing public distrust of official proclamations of vaccination safety and efficacy. A solid majority of medical doctors, and nearly 70% of parents polled by Consumer Reports, feared the new vaccines and were determined not to recommend them.

After exhaustive research conducted by Council researchers and attorneys, and many drafts, the Resolution stated, “there is insufficient scientific evidence proving that vaccines are safe or effective, therefore it is not in the best interest of public health to recommend vaccinations without exemptions.”

“Swine flu is dying. Flu deaths and hospitalizations have declined for the third straight week according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Reported infections have dropped 83%. ‘This little piggie’ just keeps looking littler and littler.” Congrats to the public health establishment for hoodwinking the public yet again. Avian flu, SARS, Alar, you name it — every time there’s a crisis it’s exaggerated for empire-building purposes or because these officials think it’s OK to lie. See the article here.

This headline reveals what most scientists (and a few smart doctors) have always known – serious infection is the exception rather than the rule. For everyone person who actually gets symptoms many, many have no symptoms at all.

See this astonishing article here.

Up to a third of schoolchildren in some parts of England have had the virus but fewer than one in ten have actually been ill, according to the Health Protection Agency Between three and five times as many children have had the virus as have been ill, the group’s research found. Prof Maria Zambon, director of the HPA’s centre for infection, said affected regions included London and the West Midlands. Across Britain, about 15 to 20 per cent of under-15s had been hit by the flu.

‘We have not got the pandemic we planned for,’ she said. ‘One way of describing it is we have been lobbed a softball. We should really focus on all the positives. ‘We have been able to make a vaccine, we have been able to roll out the vaccine in a concerted and efficient manner. I think there’s a lot of positives about this.’

Half or more of all people with swine flu would have had no symptoms, HPA scientists claimed. ‘This is not to say this is not a real pandemic,’ insisted chief executive Justin McCracken, who claimed the government warnings had contained worst case scenario assumptions.

Tedd Koren, DC

Below is a very interesting and important article on this subject.

Can we trust the CDC?

By Dr. Theo on November 14th, 2009

In a press conference this week representatives of the Centers for Disease Control revealed estimates of the extent of the H1N1 Influenza pandemic that increased by several orders of magnitude from previous estimates. For instance the number of pediatric cases reported by the CDC on November 6th was 129, but on November 12th, the date of this news conference, it was reported to be 540! Other surprising numbers revealed included the following:

• CDC estimates that between 14 million and 34 million cases of 2009 H1N1 occurred between April and October 17, 2009.
• CDC estimates that between about 63,000 and 153,000 2009 H1N1-related hospitalizations occurred between April and October 17, 2009.
• CDC estimates that between about 2,500 and 6,000 2009 H1N1-related deaths occurred between April and October 17, 2009.

I currently help staff an urgent care facility that sees nearly 100 patients per day. We have seen very large numbers of people with complaints that could be due to influenza, yet have documented only about five to ten per week and that only began about the first of October. We have hospitalized no patients and our parent hospital that serves a population of about 150,000 has reported one death due to H1N1 and that was in a child with severe underlying immunological disease.

I know that anecdotal reports are not always representative of a situation, but still the new CDC estimates seemed so far off from what many of us front-line docs are actually seeing that I had to investigate this further.

I read the entire transcript of the news conference as well as the accompanying press release to try to get a better idea of what the CDC is now reporting. Amongst a lot of uncipherable medico-babble (e.g., “Emerging infection programming network is one key source for our estimate. We also are using data from other symptoms like aggregate state reporting of laboratory hospitalizations and death.”) I think I determined the fundamental problem with these latest figures.

The CDC has adopted, for the first time in epidemiological methodology, a technique that extrapolates numbers from very limited and dubious samplings. Reports were compiled 64 counties from ten states. How many counties are there in our fifty states, total? I didn’t feel it necessary to calculate an exact number, but Indiana has 92 and South Dakota has 66. Can we conclude that we are working with a very small sample?

Next, researches at the CDC used the “Emerging infection programming network” that compiles data and “develop[s] new methods for gathering epidemiological and clinical information.” Some of those new techniques are a bit over-reaching. For instance they have determined that for every case of “flu” reported (and not necessarily proven by testing) there are 79 cases that are unreported. Similarly, the number of hospitalizations due to flu is “corrected” by a factor of 2.7. In those cases in which an influenza test was done and found to be negative researchers at the CDC have determined that up to 30% were actually H1N1 and should be counted. Additionally, deaths from what could be a complication of influenza, such as pneumococcal pneumonia, are assumed to be related to the H1N1 virus. (Pneumococcal pneumonia is the most common type of pneumonia and claims tens of thousands of lives every year.)

In short, I am very skeptical of the latest estimates from the CDC. I fear this organization that was once scrupulously devoted to science and working only for the best interest of the American people has been corrupted by politics and now serves as a propaganda arm of the entrenched bureaucracy. Yet another example of how the government can screw-up most anything it touches.

November 3, 2009, Middletown, NJ – In an unprecedented and historic move, Chris Christie put pen to paper last week and made an official campaign promise to citizens of New Jersey in support of vaccination choice. He further cemented his position on live radio with Don Imus, by becoming the first gubernatorial candidate to utter the words vaccines, autism and parental choice in the same sentence. Vaccine choice supporters showed up in record numbers tonight to cast their vote for Christie.

“Tonight, vaccine choice advocates in New Jersey are proud to announce that vaccination choice is officially a voting block,” says Life Health Choices Founder, Louise Kuo Habakus, who met with campaign leaders last December and kept the lines of communication open. “This election is a wake-up call to politicians nationwide. Vaccine choice belongs in the parents’ house, not the Statehouse or the White House.”

After receipt of the official Christie campaign promise on Friday, vaccination choice and autism advocates mobilized in force on the internet. They alerted tens of thousands of supporters, who in turn took to Facebook, Twitter, and their own support group networks to reach hundreds of thousands more. News of Christie’s now famous statement spread like wildfire through the state and across the country:

“I stand by them now, and will stand with them as their governor in their fight for greater parental involvement in vaccination decisions that affect their children… Ending waste in government in order to improve care and services for these unique children and adults, as well as giving parents the choice they deserve in their children’s health care decisions, will be top priorities.”

Anger towards Governor Corzine has been building. It is well known that New Jersey, Autism Capital of the world, is also Ground Zero for mandated shots for school. Many parents and grandparents blame environmental causes, including the state’s ultra-aggressive vaccine schedule. The “Freedom of Choice” rally in Trenton last fall garnered national media attention and catapulted this issue into the mainstream dialogue. On the heels of Corzine’s 2008 decision to add four additional vaccine mandates to the state’s already crowded schedule, thousands of parents have lined up to attend vaccination choice seminars and protests across the state.

In August, Christie and running mate, Monmouth County Sheriff Kim Guagdano, met with parents and received an unvarnished assessment of New Jersey’s position on this issue from Habakus: “Fifty percent of Americans in 18 U.S. states including the highly populous, corridor states of California and Texas have vaccination choice. We deserve it here, in the state that leads the nation in autism incidence and the number of mandated shots for school attendance.”

“We look forward to Governor-elect Christie’s leadership and working with the new administration,” says Habakus.

Americans are uncertain about getting the pandemic H1N1 vaccine, according to a poll conducted in early September by the Consumer Reports Health Ratings Center. Only 34% said they would definitely get the vaccine when it’s available, while 21% said they would decline. Forty-three percent said they will wait and see what happens with flu developments. The nation survey of 1,502 adults found that 35% will have their children vaccinated, 50% are unsure, and 14% will not. [Consumer Reports poll results]

Pregnant women are now being listed as a high priority for swine flu inoculation. Yet the product inserts so far from the package inserts state the disclaimer: “Animal reproduction studies have not been conducted with influenza virus vaccine. It is also not known whether influenza virus vaccine can cause fetal harm when administered to a pregnant woman.”[9] By their own admission, the vaccine industrial complex has not even performed clinical studies on pregnant animals, let alone pregnant humans!
